Seven Bays Park - Covid-19 Notice

By using/visiting our holiday parks, it is assumed you will accept the risks of the coronavirus pandemic.  You will also understand that we can only do what is reasonable in preparing the holiday park for your stay/visit; and that you will take sufficient precautions during your stay for your own health and hygiene.

You must not travel to the park if you have symptoms of Covid-19 - a temperature, new continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. If you develop any of these symptoms while at the park you must leave the park immediately and return to your primary residence. Once home you should self isolate and get a test - in line with government guidelines.

We have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and have taken the following steps to mitigate the risk of coronavirus on our park

Restaurant

The restaurant is closed until further notice.

Having carried out our Covid-19 risk assessment we feel that we cannot safely open the restaurant at this time. We will keep this under review and may be able to offer  limited service (possibly takeaway only) in the future. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Launderette

The launderette will be open 24 hours per day, but only one person at a time may enter the launderette. Please leave the launderette while you wait for your washing or drying to complete so others may use the facility. You must use the hand sanitiser provided and also use disinfectant to wipe down surfaces such as handles. We expect the launderette to be very busy so please be patient and consider using it out of peak hours. Remember that the machines automatically dispense detergent and softener, so no need to bring your own.

Reception

We are making changes to the reception to make it safer. Only one person at a time may enter the reception area. If there is a queue outside, you must maintain proper social distancing. Please consider using email if the matter is not urgent (office@sevenbaysparkcornwall.co.uk) or telephoning (01841 520520). Please only visit reception in person if you absolutely have to. Please be patient as we expect to be very busy when we open. If you need to make any payments please try to use electronic means rather than cash if you can.

The toilets in reception will be for staff only.

Around the park

You must maintain proper social distancing and observe all government guidelines relating to Covid-19 at all times, both inside and out.

Contact Tracing

To support the government’s Track and Trace system we are required to maintain a list of names and contact details of everyone staying at the park. This includes owners, family, guests and people renting a caravan. We will keep this information for 21 days after each party has left.

In order for us to do this you MUST send us an email to tell us the name of every person in your caravan with arrival date, leaving date and contact number. You must send a new email whenever there is a change. This means that for those who rent out their caravans you must send us an email for every rental with these details. If you do not know exactly when you will be leaving, leave the leaving date empty and send a new email when you do know.

The subject of the email should be “Contract Tracing Caravan Number Start Date”

E.g.

Contract Tracing B72 14 july 2020

Please do not try to send us this information by telephone or any other means.

Please note that this is NOT optional. This is a statutory requirement and if we are found not to be doing this the park may be forced to close!

Extra information for owners renting their caravans:

Those owners who rent their vans for income must read and follow the government guidance on covid-19 which can be found here:

In particular note the requirement for extra cleaning to be performed between guest stays, which includes, but is not limited to the following (taken from the guidelines above):

Objective: To provide high level considerations to maintain the cleanliness of rooms.

Specific housekeeping guidance:

Consider the ability to perform housekeeping, whilst maintaining social distancing, if the guest is in the room they should be requested to leave the room, unless they are self-isolating.

When cleaning a room, focus on cleaning of all hand contact surfaces in rooms. This could include, but is not limited to, light switches; bedside tables; remote controls; taps; flush handles and toilet seats; door handles – inside and out; hair dryer handles; iron and ironing board, trouser press; safe buttons; wardrobe doors; mini bar handle; kettle handle and lid; heater and/or air conditioner controls.

Considering removal of items from the room that are not likely to be needed by guests.

Glasses and crockery should be removed and washed between guests.

Towels and linens should be washed in accordance with washing instructions. The frequency of the cycle of cleaning and in-room services should be reviewed to take into account different lengths of stay.

Those owners who rent their vans for income must read and comply with the government guidelines. They must also ensure that any guests have read this document. Also remember that you need to email us with the name of ALL guests, contact information and arrival/leaving date for every rental.
